Bible Teacher and Discipleship Coordinator

Location: International School

Purpose: To provide an excellent, Christ-centered international education that meets the highest academic standards and equips students to live out a biblical worldview in all areas of life to the glory of God.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and implementing the school-wide discipleship program. Keeping track of metrics for spiritual growth through the annual survey and other means.
  • Working and relating with students to develop and challenge their faith.
  • Being available to students, and meeting and interacting with them regularly.
  • Having a broad understanding of where individual students are in their faith journey, and providing feedback to the administration as appropriate.
  • Assisting the Chaplain in monitoring the spiritual climate of the school.
  • Advising administration on student initiatives to promote spiritual growth.
  • Participating in assemblies, speaking when needed.
  • Assisting the Chaplain in implementing the annual spiritual theme.
  • Facilitating student discipleship or Bible study groups, providing structure. Ex: Conqueror series, spiritual healing groups, question can group, retreat, or addiction breaker.
  • Developing student spiritual leaders and encouraging student initiative in starting small groups.
  • Training staff in how to lead mentor or discipleship groups and how to have discipling relationships with students.
  • Working closely with the Chaplain to implement spiritual events for students, both in ongoing forms like youth groups and in special events.
  • Developing relationships and partnering with leaders of local church youth groups and discipleship programs.
  • Helping teachers in Middle and Primary as they lead assemblies.
  • Assist in the organization of bible elective classes and teach certain classes; possibly one per term. (Ex: Wildlife, etc.)

Academic / University Counselor

Location: International School

Purpose: To provide an excellent, Christ-centered international education that meets the highest academic standards and equips students to live out a biblical worldview in all areas of life to the glory of God.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a learning environment in which each child in the class is enabled to work.
  • Participates in coordinates and conducts activities that contribute to the effective operation of the counseling program in the school
  • Support in University enrollment and advising  for senior school students and parents
  • Instructing the children per the school curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning
  • Maintaining discipline within the classroom to enable children to work and learn.
  • Maintaining the Christian ethos of the school within the classroom.
  • Creating and maintaining a classroom that is aesthetically pleasing and conducive to learning.
  • Attending and participating in staff prayer times.
  • Attending and participating in regular staff meetings and in-service trainings sponsored by the school, or in parent consultations and back-to-school nights.
  • Maintaining and submitting weekly lesson plans and assessment plans
  • Providing input into curriculum revision and unit plan development
  • Keeping records of children's progress as appropriate and providing written reports each term for the parents.
  •  Agreeing to adhere to any reasonable request made by the Principal or Director.

Field MK Ed Admin Team Member

Purpose: The MK ED Admin Team provides leadership to the IFEC and is responsible for various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Help prepare for, lead, and attend the IFEC Annual Meeting
  2. Periodic review of MK Care & Education documents
  3. Oversight of the field’s child safety programs (Safe Child & Boundaries)
  4. Field education-related financial accounts
  5. Communication regarding MK Education to the field
  6. Support regional education consultants
  7. MK Ed correspondence
  8. Short-term MK Ed workers
  9. Updating & Maintaining MK Ed folders on Teams
  10. Updating & Maintaining Dropbox files

Theater Technical Director

Location: Faith Academy, Manila

Purpose: The purpose of the school is to equip students for life through academic excellence and the development of Christian faith and character; enabling them to live out that truth in every area of their lives. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: A theater technical director coordinates all technical aspects of a theatrical production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB

The Technical Director (TD) works with the Production Director (PD) and may do any or all of the following:

  • Operates and safeguards the technical assets of the theater, including supervising the use of lighting, sound, communications equipment, and the appropriate use and maintenance of stage facilities.
  • In conjunction with the PD, determine the necessary technical support, such as lighting, sound, staging, and special needs necessary.
  • Supervises and assists, as needed, with set and stage construction and management, therefore should have a knowledge of tools and equipment needed. (trouble-shooting)
  • Assist in mobilizing, training and assignment of volunteer technical staff/students for individual shows, including orienting them on safety, technical characteristics and other areas of facility operations.
  • Monitors the condition of equipment including lighting, sound, and tools; notifies Cadd Manager to arrange for the repair and replacement within budgetary constraints. 
  • Monitors Tech Week rehearsals, in order to supervise and assist in the technical aspects of the mounting of the show.
  • Organizes and oversees production strike at close of the run of the show.

    Technical directors must have a thorough understanding of all aspects involved in technical theater, including construction, lighting equipment, rigging and sound. People and time management skills are a must, as are a focus on safety. A technical director must be able to work safely around power tools, on ladders and lifts, and around electricity. A TD may work nights and weekends to find time around regular school day activities.

ELL Coordinator/Tester

Location: Faith Academy, Manila

Purpose: The purpose of the school is to equip students for life through academic excellence and the development of Christian faith and character; enabling them to live out that truth in every area of their lives. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB
  • Work professionally to stay abreast of current philosophy and methods of language acquisition and instruction.
  • Develop adequate entrance procedures in tandem with the FA Registrar for ELLs and their parents. Work with Central Office reception staff who will dispatch the necessary forms to all ELL parents.
  • Work with principals and ELL staff across divisions to implement the WIDA assessments for the purpose of discerning entrance/exit decisions for students and suitable instructional materials for ELLs.
  • Communicate with prospective ELLs and their families. Interview parents and assess suitable grade level for students to be tested in.
  • Supervise the testing coordinator in their work to coordinate scheduling, testing, and scoring of ELL entrance tests.
  • Work with the administration, ELL teachers, and classroom teachers to form and implement strategies for supporting ELLs.
  • Support divisions in providing professional development for teaching staff.
  • Share information about WIDA and its Can Do Descriptors and practical ways for integrating ELL support into all classes.
  • Observe instruction and provide feedback with regards to addressing the needs of ELLs. 
  • Oversee collection and collation of data on each ELL to track their progress. 
  • Communicate with teachers and parents regarding any ELL concerns.
  • Work with ELL aides to train them in classroom responsibilities and expectations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete duties as requested by the supervisor.
  • Lead regular ELL team meetings for all ELL teachers across divisions to give ideas, training, and encouragement, and to provide a forum for discussing issues and answering questions

Ell Teachers

Location: Faith Academy, Manila

Purpose: The purpose of the school is to equip students for life through academic excellence and the development of Christian faith and character; enabling them to live out that truth in every area of their lives. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: ELL teachers provide essential support to all students in their assigned division who have been identified as English Language Learners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB
  • Work professionally to stay abreast of current philosophy and methods of language acquisition and instruction.
  • Be familiar with benchmarks at each grade level.
  • Be familiar with the WIDA framework and Can Do Descriptors by levels and by grades.
  • Use observations, benchmarks, and WIDA Can Do Descriptors to individually assess each ELL to determine their specific needs. 
  • Create individual goals for each ELL based on data and analysis. 
  • Work with the principal, the ELL Coordinator, and teachers to develop suitable instructional materials and strategies to help each student meet his/her goals.  
  • Continuously assess students to monitor their progress and develop appropriate strategies based on their progress. 
  • Observe and give appropriate support during push-ins.
  • Work with classroom teachers to support teaching practices for ELLs. 
  • Communicate with principals, teachers, and parents regarding ELL students’ progress as well as any concerns as they arise.
  • Work with ELL aides to train them in classroom responsibilities and expectations.
  • Attend meetings with parents of ELLs to build unity and understanding

Requirements

    Hold at least a BA that includes significant coursework in language acquisition skills and/or grammar and vocabulary instruction. Teacher training is required. Hold teaching credentials appropriate for the division to which he/she is assigned. (preferred) TESOL certificate. (preferred)

Speech Pathologist/Support Services

Location: International School

Purpose: Dakar Academy's vision is to produce well-rounded students, prepared for higher-level studies, whose Christian worldview permeates all aspects of their lives. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess, diagnose, treat and help to prevent communication disorders in students at Dakar Academy.  This person will be able to effectively deliver treatment to school-aged children with a variety of speech and language related disorders.

Requirements

    Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders with experience as an SLP is acceptable. Teacher training is required. Communicate clearly. Possess organizational skills. Be attentive to detail. Be a collaborative minded professional.

Speech Education Specialist

Location: International School

Purpose: Dakar Academy's vision is to produce well-rounded students, prepared for higher-level studies, whose Christian worldview permeates all aspects of their lives. Ethnos360 exists to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: Responsible for helping students with speech, language and communication disorders.

Boarding Parents

Location: International School

Purpose: Dakar Academy offers family-style homes within the school’s secure, walled-in campus. Each home is led by a married couple whose full-time responsibility is the care and nurture of the students in their home.

Responsibilities: The care and nurture of boarding students.

Requirements

    Must be a born-again Christian for a minimum of three years and demonstrate a Christ-like testimony. Married couple will have been married at least one year and demonstrate a good marriage. Must sign: DA Statement of Faith DA Staff Expectations Agreement DA Boarding Philosophy. Family histories of both spouses, childhood to the present, must be taken into consideration. Must be supportive of the boarding school concept; must have a call or strong sense of commitment to children and an enjoyment of being with them.

Boarding Home Parents

Location: Missionary Children's School

Purpose: To care for boarding students. The purpose of the school is to assist the church planting effort among unreached people in Brazil by teaching missionary children at a remote school located along a major river.

Responsibilities: To provide a caring nurturing environment for boarding students.

Educational Special Services Teacher

Location: Numonohi Christian Academy, Highlands

Purpose: The purpose of NCA is to glorify God and to assist in the establishing and development of mature tribal churches throughout PNG by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children.

Responsibilities:

To teach, equip, and support students who have learning differences.

Requirements

School Guidance Counselor (HS)

Location: International School

Purpose: The purpose of Hillcrest International School is to enable sponsoring members and other Evangelical, expatriate mission organizations to serve effectively by providing quality Christian education for their children. The purpose of Ethnos360 is to assist the local church in planting churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: To assist secondary students in making academic and career plans.
